Our Services

If you notice a swarm near your home or property, contact us. Our bee swarm collection service ensures the safe capture and relocation of the bees to a suitable environment, supporting the health and sustainability of local bee populations.

Bee Cut Outs

Our bee cut-out service is designed for situations where bees have made a home in a wall cavity or other hard-to-reach places. If you notice a steady, regular flow of bees coming and going from a specific area, it’s likely they’ve established a nest. Typically, this means the bees have been present for several days. Our professional team carefully removes the bees by accessing the nest, which may involve cutting into a wall or structure. As this is a more complex process, we recommend contacting us to discuss your situation so we can determine the best approach for safely removing and relocating the bees.

Bee Rehoming and Moving

We rehome unwanted or abandoned hives. From time to time we rescue feral hives that are presenting as a nuisance in backyards or properties. If you need a hive moved please give us a call.

FAQ

If you find a ball of bees on the outside of your property we will some and remove for free. If we cannot collect we will find a local beekeeper for you.

This is a question we get asked regularly. In most cases a removal of bees that have taken up residency in a cavity is deemed a cut out. A cut out requires more time, the use of a thermal camera to locate the bees and special equipment to safely remove all bees. Therefore, we do charge for this service. The fee is dependent on how difficult it is to access the bees. The fee can range from $500 for a relatively simple job (e.g. removing bees from an easy to access location and no cutting required) to over $1000 in hard to access locations and cutting is required.  Give Geoff a call on 0411 620 104 to discuss.

Many people do call pest professionals to remove bees. This is often a much cheaper option. However, we find if the wall cavity is not cleared then the bees will return the following seasons. The left over honey and comb will also attract rats and cockroaches.

Bees once they have swarmed will cluster in a ball. Scout bees from the swarm will go in search for a new home for the swarm. If you notice this happening you can spray some air freshener or deodorant around where the bees are trying to get in. This sometimes will deter them from settling.

A swarm is typically characterized by a large ball of bees handing from a tree in your yard. However, you can get swarms attaching themselves to anything. If you have bees coming and going from a tree or a hole in the wall then you do not have a swarm. Likewise, if the bees have built up comb in a tree or cavity then it is no longer a swarm.

When bees swarm they fill themselves with honey so that they will have reserves for their journey. Therefore, unless you try to disturb a swarm it is generally not dangerous. The bees in a swarm will not go out of their way to sting you.
